Malaysia quickly becomes a second home to those who give the warm sun, cultural diversity and friendly locals a chance. Besides its abundance of sightseeing offerings there is so much to do: from day trips to cool hill stations and shopping trips to huge malls to tours of Kuala Selangor (a famous fireflies dwelling) and fish spas.

Local agencies offer various activity tours in and around Kuala Lumpur, but we have discovered that sometimes folks, you just want to do a circuit of the city’s best activity offerings on your own. We decided to compile a list of the Top 10 Activities in KL: highly recommended is a day trip to Genting Highlands to ‘live it up’ Vegas-style, but even a traditional cooking class made the cut!

Shopping Kuala Lumpur

Canopy Walk at FRIM Selayang - 20min drive from Kuala Lumpur City
