The Kuala Lumpur International Airport (KLIA) is Malaysia’s primary international gateway into the country. KLIA’s two main domestic operators are Malaysia Airlines and AirAsia; together they handle the bulk of flights in and out of the country.
The Low Cost Carrier Terminal (LCCT) was built to accommodate AirAsia’s operations and is located a short distance away from the main KLIA building. Approximately 45 minutes away from KLIA is the old international airport, the Sultan Abdul Aziz Shah Airport, which is currently the hub for Berjaya Air and Firefly commercial turboprop services.
