Marche Movenpick, Mutiara Damansara

Introducing a new and unique eating concept in Malaysia, Marche Movenpick is fast becoming one of the country’s most popular dining outlets. Situated in The Curve, Mutiara Damansara, it is characterised by a few statues of colourful cows outside and a cool, ‘marketplace’ atmosphere inside.

Within, food stations offering all types of fresh cuisine from local to western, all prepared before your eyes hawker-style, lend a market-like appearance to the place. Patrons will each be given a ‘passport’ at the entrance, which they will carry around with them to get stamped as they order their food from these stations. Upon exit, the stamped passports are then surrendered to the cashier, who will then calculate the cost of the meals based on the stamps collected.

Originating from Penang, Pelita Nasi Kandar is a famous mamak chain in Malaysia.
Starting from a humble beginning of occupying a small stall in a corner coffee shop in Perai, the popularity of its offerings had enabled it to expand into a number of restaurants bearing the same name all over the country.

This 24-hour restaurant also has a large, wide-screen television for the entertainment of its patrons. During major international sports seasons such as the World Cup and Euro Championships, the place is packed full with people trying to catch a piece of the action over cheap, good food and excellent community ambience.

Originating from the town of Kajang, hence the name ‘Satay Kajang’, Satay Kajang Haji Samuri Restaurant in Damansara Uptown is probably the best place to sample Malaysia’s No. 1 dish.

Succulent pieces of beef or chicken skewed on thin bamboo sticks are charcoal-grilled over open fire, releasing an aroma that is quite out-of-this-world as the satay sticks are cooking. People have been known to come from far just to get a taste of the infamous Satay Kajang at this restaurant.
