Jalan Sultan Ismail Nightlife

Once the main nightlife district of Kuala Lumpur, Jalan Sultan Ismail is still reliable when it comes to nightlife despite rising competition from more happening areas such as Changkat Bukit Bintang and Asian Heritage Row. Located a short distance from the iconic Petronas Twin Towers, getting off at the Dang Wangi LRT station will put you right at the beginning of the road. A stroll down Jalan Sultan Ismail takes you past many of the city’s premier nightspots as well as into more nightlife districts such as Jalan P. Ramlee.

Atmosphere & Barfly at TwelveSi

Within TwelveSi are two of the city’s most happening party venues: Atmosphere and Barfly. True to its name, the former is one huge boom box with thumping music where many large-scale events are being held regularly, while the latter caters more to the younger crowd with five plasma television, three pool tables and one foosball.

Espanda

Formerly known as Emporium, Espanda raises the temperature with hot Latin numbers. Featuring House Party every Friday and Saturday night, it is also a restaurant and a bar lounge.

Finnegan’s

Housed in an eye-catching bright-green-and-yellow heritage bungalow, Finnegan’s Irish-pub concept proves to be popular amongst tourists and expats. Aside from an extensive drinks menu, Finnegan’s also serves a wide range of pub grub, which includes roast beef, Gaelic steak, Irish stew and Dublin coddle.

Hard Rock Café

Located right next door to Concorde Hotel, Hard Rock Café is perhaps the city’s oldest establishment when it comes to nightlife. It is a tourist attraction as much as a nightspot, attracting both local and international visitors on a daily basis. Dishing out good old American food in generous portions, this restaurant-cum-bar also features regular live performances.

Luna Bar

Deemed one of the trendiest nightspots in the city, Luna Bar is Pacific Regency Hotel Apartments' super-chic rooftop bar. Featuring a unique layout with a large pool in the middle, it is divided into two levels of seating areas. Access to the upper deck is only granted after 10pm, but it is well worth the wait as it is said to have one of the best night views in town, with the city's skyline spread out breathtakingly before your eyes.

Nouvo

Featuring two nightspots in one building, Nouvo is split into the Nouvo nightclub upstairs and the Sangria bar downstairs. Playing a good selection of house music from trance to techno, it is also the venue of choice for touring world-class deejays to perform their sets.

Ruums

Featuring a Caribbean theme with a thatched Tiki bar and tropical décor, Ruums has four different rooms to party your heart out, each with a different theme and a different set of music from retro to trance and from rock to R & B. There’s also a space-age party lounge, a VIP area and a VVIP area.
