Burgertory, located in Subang Jaya, is a home-grown establishment that serves delightfully sinful pork, beef and vegetarian burgers – all of which are handmade, of course. Similar to pioneer burger joints MyBurgerLab (Sea Park, Petaling Jaya) and Burger Junkyard (Kota Damansara), Burgertory has proven to be immensely popular among youths, professionals, as well as gourmet burger enthusiasts in Kuala Lumpur. Open from 18:00 to 23:00, Burgertory is located on the first floor above Guardian Pharmacy in SS 15 (Section 15), Subang Jaya.

Decor-wise, Burgertory resembles an industrial warehouse with wooden self-made seating, steel fixtures, warm lighting, and an open-ceiling concept. Diners can also spot an illuminated photo collage depicting the construction of Burgertory, where they can see how the entire interior was designed, handcrafted and assembled by the owners themselves. With long wooden communal tables and benches, Burgertory makes full use of its space which allows diners to seat comfortably and enjoy their favourite burgers (unlike other densely-packed burger joints in Kuala Lumpur).
Staying true to its do-it-yourself approach, Burgertory uses quality ingredients and hand makes all of its buns, burger patties, and sauces for a distinctively savoury taste. It is also a non-halal establishment, serving predominantly pork and beef burgers with only a couple of vegetarian choices. Burgertory has proven itself as a definite crowd favourite as its burgers are often sold out before 21:00 during weekends, so weekdays are probably the best bet for late diners.
Picking a favourite from Burgertory's menu is a bit of a daunting task, but diners flock to this restaurant mainly for its satisfying array of pork burgers. The Swine Bacon and Cheese burger has to be one of the must-tries; the thick 100% premium pork patty is close to perfection in terms of juiciness and taste, whilst the two strips of bacon and the melted slice of cheddar cheese intensify both the flavour and the calorie count. Next up on our list of recommendations is the Burgertory Treasure, boasting a pork patty with crunchy croutons of pork lard and spilling melted cheddar cheese. Burgertory Treasure is a rather sinful treat, so only attempt this juicy ensemble if you do not have a habit of calorie counting.
Overall, the portions served at Burgertory are sufficiently filling for most diners. Priced at RM12 onwards, diners can opt to buy a single burger or in combo sets with additional charges. Options for sets including a choice of fries or apple Waldorf salad and soft drinks (RM5.00), pork smashed potatoes and soft drinks (RM6.00) or Burgertory fry combo (RM9.00).
Finding a parking space might be a challenge so we recommend taking public transport or head there before 18:00. With prompt service, friendly staff and reasonable prices, Burgertory is a great place to savour some deliciously meaty burgers.
