Sunday Brunch at Celestial Court (Sheraton Imperial Kuala Lumpur) is set at an award-winning Cantonese restaurant that’s renowned for its array of innovative pork-free offerings. Late-risers will delight in the restaurant’s sumptuous all-you-can-eat Sunday brunch, available every week and public holiday and with over 70 dim sum (bite-sized meat dishes) varieties and tantalising desserts served from 10:00 till 14:30.
Divided into special menu items, steamed and fried dim sum selections, vegetables, rice, noodles and desserts, most are made to order for optimum quality in taste and flavour. Meanwhile, selected dishes such as Hong Kong-style signature roast duck with five spices, Chinese barbeque chicken and fresh oysters are displayed in an extensive buffet spread.
Made with premium ingredients, diners can only order one dish per person from the special menu items. We highly recommend the pan-seared scallops with shrimp mousse on a bed of pumpkin puree topped with caviar. Presented in a beautiful translucent glass, we love how the tender and creamy the scallops are, perfectly seared with a lovely crisp, brown crust while the pumpkin puree and caviar provide sweet and savoury flavours to the ensemble. Other noteworthy dishes from the special menu items include the steamed freshwater prawn with garlic and deep-fried codfish with toasted sesame dressing, both of which are delightfully fresh and generous in size.
Diners can enjoy unlimited steamed and fried dim sum selections such as steamed fish and squid balls with garlic, steamed siew mai (steamed chicken dumplings) with tobiko, and pan-fried duck meat and preserved vegetable buns. One of Celestial Court’s most innovative dim sum creations is the prawn and banana rolls served with wasabi mayo. Wrapped in a thin pastry and topped with oats, the sweetness of the banana pairs well with the fresh prawns which makes for an ideal pre-dessert delicacy.
Do remember to save some room for Celestial Court’s colourful array of Chinese and western desserts such as tiramisu, petit Madeline, red velvet cakes, steamed custard buns, and mango pudding, all of which are displayed at the restaurant’s palatial pagoda-style entrance.
Celestial Court is located on the third floor of the five-star Sheraton Imperial Kuala Lumpur, along Jalan Sultan Ismail, just a short three-minute walk from the Medan Tuanku Monorail Station.
Priced at RM88++ per person, Celestial Court’s All-You-Can-Eat Sunday Brunch is a great dining option if you want to savour quality dim sum and Cantonese cuisines without having to travel very far from Kuala Lumpur city centre
