Dr.Inc Café (pronounced as ‘drink’) is a stylish addition to the ever-thrivingcoffee culture in Kuala Lumpur. Accessible within a five-minute walk from the Bangsar LRT station, the café is also a humble retail outlet, stocking unique stationary, jewellery, and hand-crafted souvenirs by local designers.
Tucked away between a row of shophouses (just a short walk from Fierce Curry House), Dr.Inc Café’s interior has a mix of unique artwork, colourful wallpaper, books, knick-knacks and local handicrafts. Seating here is rather limited, with mismatched and bold-hued furnishings, but guests can enjoy the evening breeze with their choice of caffeine in the verdant courtyard area.

An ideal after-work retreat in Bangsar, Dr.Inc Café also serves the conventional array of latte, mocha and flat white as well as fresh-pressed juices, bottled beers and ciders. You can also enjoy a variety of homemade cakes and light snacks. Speaking of caffeine, this quaint hideaway café is well-patronised for its Italian dark roast coffee, offering conventional concoctions as well as unique variations for the more adventurous coffee drinkers.
One of Dr.Inc Café’s signature drinks is the Presso Bomb (RM14), a unique mix of espresso and ice cream soda. As demonstrated by the friendly staff, a shot of espresso is dropped into a glass of soda, resulting in a lightly fizzy and fragrant taste that’s perfect for scorching afternoons. Also highly recommended is the Che Guevara (RM14), which features double espresso shots over ice with lemon and brown sugar. While the combination may sound like a recipe for disaster, it is surprisingly smooth and refreshing, with a zesty twist.

Guests can also browse through the café’s retail section, which boasts an impressive array of handmade gems and furniture by local brands Nala Design and Studio Bikin. Taking inspiration from Malaysia’s multicultural community, expect Peranakan-themed items such as handmade napkins and towels, tote bags, throw pillows, vintage kitchenware, vases, notebooks, wrapping paper, and bracelets.
