Mai Bar at Aloft KL Sentral

A Funky Tiki-themed Rooftop Bar in Kuala Lumpur

Situated on the 30th floor of Aloft Kuala Lumpur Sentral is Mai Bar, a spacious rooftop and poolside bar that offers a wide array of alcohol and unique cocktails with resident and guest DJs playing cutting edge music. A great place to unwind and watch the sun set in Kuala Lumpur, guests can also enjoy happy hour promos from 17:00 until 21:00 with special offers on selected cocktails, beers and wines starting from RM15 nett.

Known as one of Kuala Lumpur’s funkiest rooftop bars, Mai Bar’s Tiki-themed decor impressed with an elegant bar in black, life-sized carvings of Tiki totems, red LED lighting, and filled with bold red and dark wooden furnishings. Situated at the far end of the area is Freek Lounge, a secluded area perfect for those who indulge in some premium cigars. Decorated with swaying palm trees, guests can also opt to enjoy their drinks by lounging on colourful cushioned seats that overlooks the hotel’s infinity-edged swimming pool and Kuala Lumpur’s skyline.

Drinks-wise, Mai Bar offers a selection of premium spirits, wines and beers though cocktail lovers will delight in its vast array of creative concoctions. Its signature Malaysian Princess Mai Tai (RM35) is a tropical cocktail made with silver rum pressed with blueberries and kaffir lime, topped with golden rum, pineapple and orange juices, served in a Tiki-themed mug. Another must-try is Mr. Jack (RM35), a sweet and fruity combination of jackfruit, coconut cream, mango juice and dark rum that’s highly reminiscent of a tropical island getaway. Lastly, Mai Bar pairs its extensive alcohol offerings with a selection of gourmet tapas such as cured salmon with pretzel sticks, chicken liver pate, corn tortillas, and deep-fried falafel.

The best way to reach Mai Bar from the Kuala Lumpur city centre is via LRT: alight at the KL Sentral stop, take the escalator that heads towards Nu Sentral Shopping Mall before turning right into a pathway that leads to Aloft Kuala Lumpur Sentral.

Offering fun and laidback ambience, great music and impressive selection of drinks, Mai Bar is a great rooftop bar in Kuala Lumpur to relax and watch the glittering lights of the cityscape with a delicious cocktail in hand.
