    The Loaf

The Loaf in Kuala Lumpur’s Nu Sentral is a cafe with obvious pedigree, impressing from start to finish. There are more than 16 branches of this bistro all over Malaysia, with its popularity greatly attributed to a kitchen that knows how to make out-of-this-world creations that you cannot find anywhere else.

Located adjacent to KL Sentral station, the Nu Sentral branch features the brand’s signature classic industrial interior design, with bare brick walls, blonde wood furniture and some greenery. There is a seating area where diners can enjoy standout à la carte offerings such as smoked salmon pasta and lamb chop curry. However, our favourite menu item comes from the bakery section: the glorious carb-loaded lemon cheese oyaki – a fluffy, buttery pastry filled with lemon flavoured cream cheese. The brainchild of former Malaysian Prime Minister Tun Dr. Mahathir Mohamad, the food at The Loaf is a not-to-be-missed experience.
