Sky Lounge is a restaurant and bar on the 22nd floor of Ascott Residences KL that offers beautiful views of the Petronas Twin Towers and KL city – especially from the terrace at night. It is divided into three sections: a dining room, balcony and the poolside.
Sky Lounge provides a more intimate, quiet experience than Sky Bar at Traders Hotel or View Rooftop Bar at G Tower Hotel – we recommend the window tables where it feels like you can almost reach out and touch the Twin Towers. There is the full range of beers, wines and spirits that you would expect from a hotel bar, with cocktails starting from around RM25: beers are around RM13 a bottle and wines start at RM19 a glass.
Serving breakfast, lunch and dinner, Sky Lounge even provides room service for Ascott Residences and the adjacent Kirana Serviced Apartments residents. But for non-residents the trendy place is stand-out unique for a number of reasons.
First of all, it is popular for its favourable location and views. Another major selling point is the incredible-tasting food (if you have a sweet tooth, their desserts comes very highly recommended) and modern, simple décor that gives the place a laidback vibe.

Perfect for couples having a romantic dinner or even families looking to enjoy some quality get-together time, the absolutely-efficient service is so friendly it feels like you are grabbing a bite to eat at a friend’s house.
Sky Lounge has a casual yet elegant atmosphere and décor that is simple and modern. The dining room is ideal for those looking to have a cosy, informal meal, with warm lighting, diner-style booths by the windows, a bar with yellow, black and white back splashes and simple, cosy tables for four people.
Meanwhile, the balcony has tall chairs and tables set beside the glass walls – the views from here are the best in the whole restaurant, making it the perfect spot for taking photos. The poolside is reserved for private functions.
Of course you have come to sample the food, so take your pick from Sky Lounge’s international menu. There is a mix of western standards like pastas, burgers and sandwiches, but you can also find some Asian specialities like rice and noodles. The food is pretty similar to that in SoulED Out restaurant in Sri Hartamas, so expect amazing flavours, generous portions and reasonable prices.
Don’t miss out on the Alfredo chicken: served on a bed of spaghetti tossed with herbed cream sauce and turkey ham, it’s a tummy-filling dish. Other must-try dishes included nachos, crispy calamari rings, beef burgers and chicken cordon bleu – they are very top notch and flavoursome.
Opening Hours: 06:30 – 10:30 (breakfast); 11:00 – 22:30 (all-day dining)
