Skytrex Adventure in Shah Alam

Zip line Adventure Park in Kuala Lumpur

For those who are seeking some serious fun in the sun, look no further than Skytrex Adventure. These zip line obstacle courses consist of extreme outdoor activities such as rope climbing and flying fox in the middle of the lush greenery of Shah Alam Agricultural Park, approximately 45 minutes from Kuala Lumpur city centre. Once there, overcome your fears and gear up for some swinging, flying, and climbing fun!

Obstacles are divided into three courses according to difficulties, and the minimum height requirements are 1.1m (Little Adventure) and 1.4m (Big Thrill and Extreme Challenge). Skytrex is only open during weekends, and it is advisable to book online to ensure your spot for the course. However, if you have a big party of 25 or more people, you can opt to have Skytrex opened on a weekday just for you. Kids below 12 years of age require a parent or guardian to be present in order for them participate for safety reasons.

Upon arrival, participants are required to go through an initiation circuit, where a little briefing on the know-how of safety equipments will be given. The easiest course is the Little Adventure, consisting of 23 undemanding-to-difficult challenges, and kids below the age of eight will have to be accompanied by an adult. The highlight of this course is the 70m flying fox, taking you across two lakes in the compound.

The second biggest course is Big Thrill, which is more geared for adults, although kids below 13 who satisfy the height requirement can participate too. It also boasts 23 obstacles, ranging from easy to very difficult levels, with 17m tall platforms and ‘crazy zig-zag’ plank wood crossings to get over. The hardest course, Extreme Challenge, contains a whopping 34 extremely challenging obstacles, and participants are given two to three hours to complete the whole course.

Skytrex also provides guests with the Skydeck – an elevated wooden platform with 10 picnic tables, especially for its patrons. It’s free to use and available on a first-come-first-serve basis, with limitation to two hours per guest. A BBQ pit is also available for guests to enjoy (but bring your own charcoal!), and as they have only one pit on site, reservations are to be made to ensure availability. Reservations for the tables and the BBQ pit are charged at RM30 per table and per pit, and can be done online during the slot booking.

The Shah Alam Agricultural Park is a popular recreational park in Shah Alam, and in order to reach Skytrex, patrons need to pay a small entrance fee to the park (RM3 for adults, RM1 for children age six to 11, those below six get in for free), and board the Skytrex shuttle bus near the bicycle shop near the entrance.  Participants are highly encouraged to be punctual in order to not miss the bus and get the maximum enjoyment of their slots.
