The Good Batch is a Petaling Jaya morning institution offering a menu of hearty standard breakfast fare, with a menu encompassing both healthy and greasy standards like pancakes, baked beans, bacon, sausages, eggs, toast and so much more. A great place for family and friends looking to enjoy gourmet food on a laid-back weekend, anything goes at this trendy dining room space.
Located in Damansara Utama, it is a 20-minute drive from the Kuala Lumpur city centre, but that has not stopped this distinctive café from drawing in crowds no matter the day of the week. We love the all-day breakfast menu, but also the fact that drinks at this quirky bistro encompasses both alcoholic and non-alcoholic varieties.

Interior Design
When it comes to The Good Batch’s interior design, expect to see simple buffed concrete, black metal bar stools, wooden tables and glossy backsplash tile work, creating an industrial, barren look. A bright, airy, skylit room, the overall crisply cool look manages to strike the perfect balance between trendy and homey atmosphere, making for a truly fashionable and funky feel for a meal.
Opened in 2013, it has quickly cemented a reputation as one of the go-to food spots in both KL and PJ, with charming wait staff members who manage to keep the vibe at this café both sophisticated yet not snobby.

Food
Food wise, there is so much to indulge in from the extensive menu. Start off with the RM20.90 Norwegian, poached eggs atop perfectly-smoked salmon, drizzled with lemon hollandaise and served with a side of onion confit, capsicum, and lightly toasted bread – it is a light yet flavourful dish that will definitely leave a last impression. If you’re looking for comfort fare, then the aptly-named RM20.90 Hangover Mess is a sure fire winner, with pan fried corned beef, capsicums and potatoes, topped by suitably-runny sunny-side-up eggs and sprinkled with herb-infused hollandaise sauce. Another dish that is a definitive show runner at The Good Batch is the RM19.90 Portobello Road, a meal consisting of extra large fried Portobello mushrooms (crispy on the outside and juicy on the inside), accompanied by scrambled eggs, soft spinach and tender, ripe and tangy tomatoes.
Cap off your meal at The Good Batch with the RM10 café latte with biscotti on the side – a great way to get some caffeine into your system, while allowing the good food to digest. When all’s said and done, The Good Batch is definitely worth your time and money.
