I still remember my very first visit to Delicious Kuala Lumpur in One Utama’s new wing, when it was just a small café situated within the secluded recesses of Ms. Read boutique. I remember thinking that I had stumbled upon the mall’s best-kept secret. I also remember being blown away by its sinfully-indulgent cakes, of which it is most famous for.
Now, five years later after the opening of their very first outlet, Delicious Kuala Lumpur has evolved into a popular chain of restaurants well-known not only for its decadent desserts, but also its selection of irresistible culinary delights and sophisticated ambience. True to its name, its food offerings can be summed up in just two words: Simply Delicious.

Delicious Kuala Lumpur restaurants are known as much for their striking good looks as their mouthwatering good food. This one is no exception. A sanctuary in the middle of the buzzing metropolis, Delicious Kuala Lumpur at St. Mary's Place lets in plenty of natural light through its glass walls, resulting in a bright and airy dining space.
The restaurant’s interior features clean lines and minimalistic décor. Cream sofas form part of the seating plan, with aqua green and navy cushions adding a splash of colour. White trees ‘grow’ inside the restaurant, sprouting white branches at the top from where Delicious’ trademark white birdcage lamps hang. There’s an al fresco dining area on the wraparound verandah outside for those who prefer to have their meal out in the open.
The chic and stylish Delicious Kuala Lumpur at St. Mary's Place has an incredibly cosy, warm and inviting atmosphere. Some might find the open and airy spaces inspirational – perfect for an informal discussion or catching up on some work while grabbing a bite to eat. Busiest during lunchtime almost every day of the week, the restaurant is also quite packed on Fridays and Saturday nights with families looking to enjoy a relaxing dinner in the city.
Delicious Kuala Lumpur at St. Mary's Place has quite an extensive list of alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages. Its booze list consists of bottled beers, flavoured martinis, aperitifs, champagnes, whiskies, cognacs, bourbons, rums, gins, tequilas, vodkas and liquers, with world-renowned labels such as Smirnoff, Moet Chandon, Baileys and Jack Daniels. It also has a selection of gourmet coffees, teas, chocolate drinks, fruit juices, smoothies, shakes and tasty selection of frosties. We tried the delightfully-refreshing Watermelon & Lychee Blast and Frosty Lemongrass & Lychee – two of Delicious’ most popular frosties – which are bursting with flavour with just the right amount of sweetness.
The story of how Delicious Kuala Lumpur came about is a truly inspirational one - a classic example of how far passion and hard work can take you. Armed with just an intense love for good food plus the desire to share that passion, three friends came together to bring us one of the most well-known home-grown brands in Kuala Lumpur.
Delicious’ offerings come in just the right portion – not too much that we have difficulty finishing them, and not too little that there weren’t enough to go around. Highly recommended dishes here include the Salmon Sa-Shimmy Salad with garden greens, orange segments, and Atlantic salmon sashimi in sesame dressing, A-Ok Aglio Olio with pangratatto, cili padi and button mushrooms, and Raise the Sirloin Steak with grilled asparagus, au jus, and herb butter.
A visit to Delicious Kuala Lumpur at St. Mary's Place wouldn’t be complete without treating oneself to its legendary desserts. We topped off our meal with its famous Choc-a Block Lava Cake (served with a scoop of vanilla ice-cream on top) and Panna 'Kota' Kinabalu (Bandung-flavoured panna with vanilla ice cream), all of which taste quite out of this world - a perfect end to our afternoon.
We went just after three, so it wasn’t as manic as what it would’ve been during lunchtime, so service was quite prompt with no discernible waiting time. The staff are generally courteous and friendly – never failing to greet every customer who walks through the door with a warm smile. Delicious Kuala Lumpur at St. Mary's Place is located on Jalan Tengah, about a 10-minute walk from Changkat Bukit Bintang.
